Fast forward to see this same visionary young woman starting
down a new road: running her own certified organic farm and successfully
launching a complete line of handcrafted organic skincare products
designed to benefit women of all ages. You’ve just met Lily,
founder and president of Lily Organics. For over 20 years, Lily
products have nurtured the beauty and radiant health of thousands
of women’s complexions by using “active” ingredients
naturally occurring in organically grown herbs and botanicals.
BALANCE
“Nature’s inherent ability to balance is fascinating,”
says Lily. “Each aspect of our proprietary formulations
is geared to serve a specific purpose for moisturizing, protection,
and cell regeneration.” Harvesting from her herb farm in
Colorado, Lily and her team create fresh batches of skincare lotions,
creams and healing oils---every week. According to a skincare
specialist at Wild Oats store in Denver, Lily Organics is “redefining
quality skin care” in a way that commercial mass-produced
brands simply can’t duplicate.
But then, Lily has never approached things in an expected fashion.
As early as 4 years old, while other children were indoors playing
with dolls, Lily was exploring her father’s farm. At 6,
she was driving a tractor; at 9 she was an entrepreneur selling
bushels of apples she’d picked by going door to door and
visiting neighbors.
A deep respect for the environment comes from Lily’s heritage
as a seventh generation farmer. Her motivation to enthusiastically
charge ahead on a mission most probably is inherited from her
Great great Grandfather who was a captain in the American Revolution.
And her passion to develop effective products for glowingly healthy
skin comes from her own personal experience. Part of that goal
is to offer education through her seminars, online Lily Café
(www.lilyorganics.com) and book (“Beauty, Health and Happiness;
A Way of Life”). Lily humbly declares, “I am an average
American woman who suffered greatly with problem skin”.
From this came the motivation to help alleviate and prevent unnecessary
suffering in others, and to help maintain and enhance others’
beautiful results.
EMPOWERMENT
Beyond healing and the support of physical beauty, Lily’s
focus is on the cultivation of inner beauty. Knowing the importance
of self-esteem and self-care, Lily became aware, again at a young
age (22) of the deprivations of seniors in her area. Fired by
the same desire to help, she formed the Association for Senior
Citizens, an organization providing over one million units of
service to the elderly in Denver. Ranked as one of the most productive
nonprofits in the region, Lily has been chosen by Woman’s
Day magazine as a top “Unsung Hero” and a Point of
Light by a United States President.
HAPPINESS
From the young girl journeying through life to today’s businesswoman/philanthropist,
there has always been a common thread to all of Lily’s activities:
the pursuit of happiness. Lily’s zest for abundant living
includes cross-country motorcycle trips, traveling on five continents,
and celebrating at the ten biggest parties in the world, including
Carnival in Rio and Octoberfest in Munich.
Future plans encompass spa and yoga rejuvenation retreats on
the lush Lily Organics farm, development of a far-reaching plant-a-tree
program, and a campaign to raise awareness of the power of feeling
beautifully healthy for middle and senior age women. This latter
initiative is scheduled to begin on Lily’s upcoming 50th
birthday. And it will be kicked off with true Lily enthusiasm
by an educational Lily Organics “Fun & Beauty At Any
Age.”
